by Stephen Sondheim & Hugh Wheeler

After being imprisoned for 15 years for a crime he did not commit, Benjamin Barker returns to the city of London under the alias Sweeney Todd. He seeks revenge for the death of his wife and the theft of his daughter by the evil Judge Turpin. With the help of Mrs. Lovett, the owner of a prominent pie shop, Sweeney will stop at nothing to avenge the loss of his former life. Thrilling, dark, and funny, Sweeney Todd tells the story of an ordinary man who has nothing left to lose. Sweeney Todd is the Yale Dramatic Association’s Fall Mainstage and is professionally directed and professionally designed.
